After a relatively late sleep in and a struggle to get the desk boys to put our luggage in storage until this evening when we catch our bus, we got up and had a refreshing fruity breakfast. Then we got a colectivo out to Enrique Foster Bodega, an exclusive vineyard which we were invited to because of Emilie´s fabulous connections in the wine world. A beautiful vineyard with poplars surrounding its 11 hectares of grape vines. After a tour of the wine vats and bottling process we finally got to the good part of tasting. White tablecloths, (Riki was impressed) big sparkling wine glasses and taste tests of the Malbec unoaked and the Reserva malbec which was divine. Consequently we headed back into Mendoza, had lunch and (more icecream- mascarpone, chocolate split, cocada limon) back to the hostel to chill and wait for our bus. Evidently Marissa and I were bored when we found the games cupboard and discovered 'Carrera de la Mente' - trivia from the 80's. Yea yea.
ANd in a few hours we are on our luxurious Cata bus back to BA. To be continued...
